From first-timers to advanced skiers and riders looking to perfect their turns, Berkshire East’s Snow Sports School has you covered. A PSIA-AASI member school, we offer beginner packages, one-on-one lessons, multiweek-long kids and adult programs, and more with our trained and experienced staff.

PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS

Personalized attention from our experienced instructors is the best way to improve as a skier or rider. A private lesson is all about you, your family and the skills your group wants to develop!

We offer private lessons on the hour between 9am and 3pm. Whether you are looking for a chance to try out the sport,  get a few quick tips for your day, or looking to maximize your visit, you can choose your own adventure with our one, two or six hour lesson blocks.

Semi-Private Lessons

One and two hour lessons are sold at a base rate, with additional costs to add guests to the lesson. These can be custom and built for friends and families.

Full Day Private Lessons

Six hour lessons run from 9am-3pm or 10am-4pm most weekends and holidays. Full day private lessons are sold at a flat rate and can accommodate 1-5 guests of the same party. If you are a family looking for full day supervision and instruction, this is the lesson for you! Six hour lessons do not include a gap for lunch. Guests should discuss a lunch break with their instructor.

Policies

    • All lessons and lesson times are subject to instructor availability.
    • Advanced reservations are strongly recommended and payment in full is required at the time of booking. 
    • Lift tickets and rentals are not included in lesson costs. Tickets and rentals must be reserved through our webstore or over the phone. All participants, regardless of age, must carry a valid lift ticket or season pass to take a lesson. Children six and younger ski for free. Tot tickets must be secured to the child, or be placed in a zippered pocket. All participants must sign a Lessons and Programs Waiver before their lesson starts.

Want to request an instructor? Let our reservationists know when you book or give us a call. We cannot guarantee requests, but will always do our best to accommodate them. The more lead time you give us and your instructor, the better!

Cancellation Policy

We retain a $10 cancellation fee for any cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. Reservations may be moved for a $10 rescheduling fee up to 72 hours in advance of the scheduled lesson. All reservations are non-refundable, or moveable, 72 hours or less to your scheduled lesson, with exceptions for mountain closures.

GROUP LESSONS

Boost your skills alongside others with the guidance of our experienced instructors. Group lessons are available on weekends and holidays.

We offer group lessons for skiers and riders of a range of abilities.  

Advanced reservations are recommended and payment in full is required at the time of booking.

Please plan your visit accordingly to allow sufficient time to get dressed and pick up rentals. Guests who are late to their group lesson may not be able to join after the lesson has started.

All participants, regardless of age, must carry a valid lift ticket or season pass to take a lesson. Children six and younger ski for free. Children's Group Lessons

  • 4 & 5 years old - 1 hour lesson
    • 4 & 5 year olds ski for free! Children must have a valid "Tot" pass to participate in a lesson. For 1st day to intermediate skiers and riders. Advanced children may "graduate" to advanced 6 & 7 year old lessons at the discretion of the Snow Sports staff.
  • 6 & 7 years old - 2 hour lesson
    • For 1st day to advanced skiers and riders.
    • 6 year olds ski for free with a “Tot” ticket
  • 8-16 years old - 2 hour lesson
    • For 1st day to advanced skiers and riders.

Adult Group Lessons

  • Ages 17 and up - 2 hour lesson - for 1st day to intermediate skiers and riders.

    LEARN TO TURN PACKAGE

    Want to try skiing or snowboarding but don’t have equipment? The Berkshire East Learn to Turn Package is the best way to try skiing or snowboarding for the first time. Get yourself hooked with this lift, rental, and group lesson package. Participants must be 7 or older.

    With this package, you will receive a full day Lower Mountain lift ticket, a ski or snowboard rental package, and a 2 hour first time group lesson.

    Night packages include a nighttime Lower Mountain lift ticket, a ski or snowboard rental package, and a 1 hour first time group lesson.

    Advanced reservations are recommended and payment in full is required at time of booking.

    Please arrive at the rental shop at least an hour before your lesson time to try on and pick up equipment. Guests should arrive at the group lesson meeting area 15 minutes before the lesson start time. Those who are late to their lesson may not be able to join after the lesson has started.

    RETURN TO LEARN PACKAGE

    The Return to Learn Package may just be the best deal in all of skiing! After the completion of our Learn to Turn Package, continue the learning process with a 2-day lift ticket, rental, and group lesson for a steal! While we feel the learning process never ends, 3 full days of learning with our Learn to Turn and Return to Learn packages gives most people the skills to explore green trails from the top of the mountain and start preparing to tackle blue intermediate trails. Participants must be 7 or older.

    After purchasing the Return to Learn Package, two vouchers will be loaded to your account, one for the day of the lesson and one for future use. When you're ready to redeem your second voucher, give us a call or stop in the office to make your reservation.

    Participants must have completed the Learn to Turn Package within the current season (2024-2025). The Return to Learn Package is only valid for the current season (2024-2025) and does not carry over between seasons. Vouchers loaded to your guest record are not transferable. 

    Return to Learn lessons are 2 hours long and offered on weekends at 10:00 am and occasionally at 1:00pm.
