Join Us Friday Evenings from July 10th through September 4th

The Thunder Mountain Bike Park Lightning Series is a fun, community-focused enduro race series. Each week, a designated uphill climbing route will be announced, followed by a timed downhill stage on a featured trail. Race courses will change every event to keep things fresh.

This isn’t your typical ultra-serious race series. Expect a laid-back atmosphere, paper plate tags, and friendly competition. The Lightning Series is all about building community and celebrating bike park culture at Thunder Mountain.

Registration info:

Race Registration Form
Meet outside the Thunder Mountain Taqueria around 5pm.
$10 cash entry fee.
Paper Plate pickup on race day will be from 4:30pm to 5:15pm.
Mandatory racers' meeting at 5:20pm.
Start pedaling uphill at 5:30pm.
Awards after the last racer finishes.

Race Mentorship:

For those dreaming of earning their own paper plate but feeling a little nervous to get started - we’ve got you covered.

The Thunder community is filled with rad humans, and we’re excited to introduce Race Mentorship for the Lightning Series. Whether you need help mounting that coveted paper plate, finding the start line, locating Sugarline (the uphill route), or simply calming the “trying new things” jitters, a race mentor will be there to help.

No coaching. No pressure. Just a friendly helping hand and an encouraging community that wants to see you succeed.

We can’t wait to see you out on the trails.

Categories: Open Male | Open Female | Ebike | U18

1st place in each category will receive a prize from the presenting sponsor. Four of the six events will count toward the overall winners. The lowest total accumulated time across the 4 series events will determine the overall category winners.
