Terrain Parks

We are further developing our terrain park program for the 2010-2011 season!

With the expansion of our existing park and the addition of two others, you’ll find more than three times the real estate to jib, bonk, and slide this year at Berkshire East!

Our Parks:

Sidebar:

You’ll find progression park style features and clean features with simple lines in Sidebar located down the eastern edge of Exhibition. Novice and advanced riders alike will enjoy this park weather they are just learning or looking to tighten up their skills.

Upper Exhibition:

A park with multiple line features where advanced riders will be able to find their flow. Located under the top end of the West Quad.

Rowan’s Bank

This park will be a work in progress for the 2010-2011 season. A hybrid terrain park/bump trail, Rowan’s Bank will consist of natural and snow features that compliment the glades to the east. Check back often this season to see the progress and give us your feedback. Located off Little Spruce on the western side of the mountain.

Safety:

Your safety is important to us. Please watch the safety videos and familiarize yourself with the information at www.terrainparksafety.org, and always follow these Smart Style Guidlines:

Make a Plan.

Every time you use Freestyle Terrain make a plan for each feature you want to use. Your speed, approach and takeoff will directly affect your maneuver and landing.

Look Before You Leap.

Scope around the jumps first, not over them. Know that your landings are clean, and clear yourself out of the landing area quickly.

Easy Style It.

Start small and work your way up.

Respect Gets Respect.

From the lift line through the park.

Berkshire East strives to follow the guidance, logos, and signage developed through the Smart Style Freestyle Safety Program. Berkshire East’s terrain parks can be identified on our trail map and on our hill by an orange oval.
Berkshire East’s terrain parks may contain jumps, hits, ramps, banks, fun boxes, jibs, rails, quarter pipes, and other constructed or natural terrain features.

PRIOR to using Freestyle Terrain, you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with Freestyle Terrain and obeying all instructions, warnings and signs. Freestyle skills require maintaining control on the ground, and in the air.

HELMETS are required in all Berkshire East Terrain Parks.
