1) Berkshire East is building a wind tower?

Yes, Berkshire East has gained approval from the Planning Board of Charlemont to start the of building a 900 kw wind tower on the shoulder of the mountain, just above Big Chief. This tower will supply 100% of our electricity needs in the form of clean, renewable wind power. Berkshire East has been working with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Sustainable Energy Development to make our wind power dreams a reality. 

2) Berkshire East has built a Zip Line / Canopy Tour.

Yes, Berkshire East Canopy Tours, New England's largest Canopy Zip Line Tour park openned in June of 2009!

3) Berkshire East is replacing its Double Chair?

Yes, Berkshire East will be replacing the Diamond Express Double with a new lift in time for the 2009-2010 ski season. Check back here for more details.
