Reservations may be made with a customer service representative at 413-339-6618 during normal business hours. Online reservations may be made at any time. Walk up guests are welcome and we will do our best to accomodate you, however, if all of our tours are full for that day, we cannot guarantee you a spot.
What should I wear?
Participants will be given a harness and a helmet. These will be worn over your clothes so be sure to wear clothing that will fit comfortably under these items. Long shorts or pants are recommended. Participants are required to have closed-toe shoes such as hiking shoes or sneakers. No sandals, water shoes, crocs, high heels, etc. Sunscreen, bug spray and sunglasses are recommended. If wearing glasses, be sure to have something to secure them to your head. Long hair and dangling jewelry must be secured to ensure the safety of the rider. We do zip in the rain, so bring your rain gear.
Are there limitations to who can go?
For the Base Area and Mountain Top Tours, participants must be at least 8 years old and weigh between 70 and 275 lbs. For the Valley Jumping Tour, participants must be at least 12 years old and weigh between 100 and 260lbs. Berkshire East Canopy Tours reserves the right to weigh our guests, and we routinely do so if there is any question. Our tours are not suitable for women who are pregnant or anyone with certain existing medical or mental conditions.
Is there a waiver online?
Participants under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign their form, so please come prepared if your parent or guardian is not with you, or your child will be arriving with friends.

How much will physical exertion will be required?
The Base Area and Mountain Top Tours involve walking short distances on well maintained trails, so guests must be prepared for hiking. Our Valley Jumping Tour requires a fairly challenging uphill hike of approximately 10 minutes.
Do I tip the guides after the tour?
As it is traditional in other service industries to offer a tip for exceptional service, our guides appreciate any gratuity you feel is appropriate. A great deal of training and attention to detail has gone into the preparation and execution of each tour. All of our guides enjoy their job, and we expect that each of our guests will receive the highest level of service and care. If you feel like you have experienced an exceptional tour, it is likely due to the professional and dilligent approach of your guides.
Is there a drug and alcohol policy?
Participants will not be allowed to zip if they are under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Berkshire East Canopy Tour reserves the right to dismiss participants and refunds will not be granted.
Can I bring a camera?
Yes, you can bring a camera with an appropriate security strap.
Can I bring a pack for water, extra clothes, camera etc?
Yes, just be sure to secure all loose straps while zipping.
Are there refreshments?
Snacks and beverages are available for purchase in the base lodge to enjoy either inside the lodge or out on our front deck. We also have beer and wine to purchase for individuals 21 years of age and older, after 12:00pm during operating hours.
What if I am scared of heights?
Most participants are surprised with the level of safety and comfort experienced during their tour. Our guides are sensitive to our guests fears and are practiced in helping new riders work through any initial apprehensions. Our entire zip line system is engineered for safety and employs a passive gravity braking system, which allows riders an added level of assurance. Essentially, all the rider needs to do is sit back and enjoy the ride and the incredible views.
What forms of payment are acceptable?We accept these credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. We do not accept American Express or personal checks. Sorry, but we do not have an ATM machine on-site.
Cancellation & Refund Policy:
Refunds will be given for cancellations made 72 hours prior to your scheduled tour. To change your tour or reschedule to a different date you must provide us 48 hours advance notice by calling customer service at 413-339-6617. We charge a $10 administrative fee any time you make a change to your reservation, including a cancellation. Your credit card will be charged the full amount for your tour(s) if you fail to show up for your scheduled tour/time.
