"Valley Jumping" Tour Approved!

"VALLEY JUMPING TOUR" is Approved by the Town of Hawley

On June 30th, the townspeople of Hawley, Ma, approved an article during the annual town meeting granting an easement to Berkshire East Canopy Tours to install a set of Zip Lines between 250 and 350 feet above East Hawley road.  This easement will now enable Berkshire East Canopy Tours to install their third and most extreme Zip Line Canopy Tour.  The "Valley Jumping Tour" will reach from the top of Berkshire East Ski Resort to an adjacent mountain peak, extending 2200' feet in length, spanning a valley that contains East Hawley Road. The extreme length and height of this set of Zip Lines will rank this Tour among the best in the nation. In addition these Dual Racing Zip Lines will be over 300 feet in the air and afford participants the chance to transcend the valley with their friends while reaching speeds of 50 mphs.  Once riders have reached the adjacent mountain peak that is contained within the 970 acre perimeter of the Berkshire East Resort, they will ride the Zip Lines back across the valley another 2200' feet to the top of a chair lift that will bring them back to the base area.

Berkshire East Resort is excited to bring the Nation's #1 growing adventure and thrill sport to the beautiful Deerfield River Valley this summer. All Zip Lines have been engineered constructed with the highest level of safety standards and all of the guides are trained and certified.  Berkshire East Canopy Tours has partnered in the construction with the Experienced Based Learning company (www.ebl.org), the nations most experienced Zip Line Tour contractor in the nation.  Currently there are 16 zip lines, spread out over two separate tours, and they are now ready to begin construction on a third tour, the Valley Jumping Tour, which was approved by the town of Hawley in the most recent meeting.

Berkshire East Ski Resort located along Rt. 2 in Charlemont, has provided fantastic winter fun and great value for decades and is now please to be offering this new operation during the warm months of the year. The resort hopes that people can continue to find great family fun, value and great views of the Deerfield River Valley from the mountain top. Heard your radio ad and am excited to go zip, perhaps next month. The 1st 2 sound great, but this one, up to 50 MPH? Wow, I guess I'll start with the "slow" ones and then work up to that. I'm sure once I get off the fast one I'll want to do it again! I bet this will be really amazing when the trees turn this fall.
