The Scoop

Blogs that I read...

So, a couple of you have told me that you read this blog.

If you have, you have probably seen that I don't read 'the scoop' all that much because it really needs an editor. Instead of editing this when I am at a computer, I usually am reading one of the following blogs.

The Adventures of Pat Duran. I know Pat from ski racing. He is Vt raised and has ski raced his whole life. Pat is currently in the skier cross at the x games.

Joe Swensson. Another skier cross former ski racer. I coached Joey his PG year at GMVS. We travelled to a bunch of races all over the country together. I coached GMVS the winter of my senior year of college (I finished Middlebury early so had some free time) He and three other racers from GMVS followed me to Middlebury where I coached them with Forest Carey (currently a coach with the US Ski). It makes me nervous to see Joe launching these huge kickers because I have a clear memory etched in my mind of him face planting on a huge downhill jump in La Parva, Chile.

I am Ted King. In another life, I am 80 lbs lighter and way more motivated and am a bike racer. In this life, I beat the crap out of my mtn bike (with those 80lbs of extra weight) and read about Ted King. We overlapped at Middlebury, he hung out with the anarobicaly dedicated Nordic Skiers (not the overweight, out of control alpine skiers). Ted is now with Canondale-Liguigas and racing bikes professionally all over the world.

Warner Nickerson. Warner apparently leads a life we can all be jealous of... ski races all over the world, traveling, skiing. I don't know. Charlemont is nice!
